WAS THE PERFECT FIT PACO POUCH PERFECT FOR US?
HERE ARE OUR THOUGHTS...
So we’ve used a few different brands of treat pouches over the years. Each have had their positives.
Lou’s previous pouch that she’d had for about 2 years bit the dust which is fair enough it has been a bit of a workhorse being used pretty much every single day in that time.
The Paco Pouch was released in October 2022 and we have had our eye on it since! Trying not to chase shiny things it was decided that we would wait till one of us actually needed one.
So the new shiny pouch arrived on 14th of February and love was most definitely in the air when opening it up!

So! What did we really think of The Paco Pouch?
Usability
At first look the pouch is rather large! As trainers that is definitely something that we want! Going through a vast amount of treats on a busy class day being able to hold a lot without having to restock is a big plus! Once you've actually got the pouch on though it doesn't feel as big as it looks. The nice wide waist belt that can be worn round your waist or over your shoulder is comfortable and has a really strong clip.The magnetic closing is also a handy feature! If you've got dogs who know where the snacks live and may take the opportunity to try steal some there are two magnets that are pretty strong!
Looks
The Paco Pouch only comes in the grey and black. This we were a wee bit disappointed in as their harnesses come in lots of beautiful colors. It would have been nice to have a choice. However that being said it looks really smart. The wee touch of colour with the logo on it really stands out! Hopefully they might consider color options in the future.
Features
This is where we really fell in LOVE with it!
Now we've used many pouches over the years and one things that's been a consistent issue is how easy it is to clean. There are times you forget where the pouch is and then you SMELL it! That tiny bit of food that's been stuck in a corner of the pouch has gone off! Cue 40 million wash cycles to try get rid of the smell!!
The bit we were incredibly excited about was the removable dishwasher safe insert!!
Perfect for your shorter life treats like turkey mince, sausages and hotdogs!
The treats you really don't want bits of left in your pouch.
It's also so handy to just take out the insert and pop it in the fridge if you have snacks leftover in it for the next day no need to put everything in poo bags or Tupperware tubs!
It would be handy if this also had a magnetic clip so that bits don't fall into the main compartment but that's just a minor thing. We've been putting our sausages etc in the removable insert and then using the rest of the space in the main pouch for dried treats so we have options depending on what we need and the dogs we are working with like.
This is also helpful if you're working with multiple dogs and one maybe has an allergy to food you're using you can keep things separate.
The other bits we really like are the pocket options. You have two pockets one on each side great for poo bags or a ball! The one we really love is the front zip pocket most training pouches can't fit keys etc. Not so much of an issue in the winter but will be GREAT in the summer when we don't(hopefully)have jackets on so we have space to store all we need. It also has a little loop which we have attached our clickers too another little handy dandy addition.

Customer Service
As ALWAYS PerfectFit come out on top with customer service! As we've said we've recommended their harnesses for a long time and to hundreds if not thousands of dog humans.
All we've heard is good things whether its fitting advice, resolving issues the feedback has always been overwhelmingly positive. We had a slight issue with our pouch order and contacted them. My goodness were they brilliant! On another note delivery was so fast. Genuinely no complaints here at all!

So to sum up after using the Paco Pouch for just over two weeks we are both really IMPRESSED!
It was most certainly worth the wait and in all honesty wish we'd gotten it sooner!
